Join us on Sundays
What does a service look like?
We recognise that coming along to a church service, especially if it's your first time, can feel a little daunting. Here’s a bit of what you can expect.
Our Sunday services are one of the times we gather all together as a church family. We meet from 11am and take time to catch up, worship God (through live music), read the Bible, and listen to a talk. We share stories, have times of prayer and usually finish with refreshments together (think tea/coffee and even sometimes cake) Everyone is welcome.
Most weeks we have additional groups for children and young people- you can find out more about these here.
Stream on YouTube
If you’re unable to join us in person, then we also livestream our Sunday services on YouTube! You can also access the talk and previous streams on our YouTube channel at any time. Some services we aren’t able to stream.
Harbour Groups
Throughout the week we meet across our city in groups of 8-12 people.
We call these Harbour Groups because these are places of safety, protection, and support. Places that send us into our week to help others discover the love of Jesus.
If you’d like to join a group, speak to a member of the welcome team on a Sunday, or you can contact us here.
This month at Abbeyhill
New to church? Here’s some questions you might have:
Is there a dress code?
No. There is no dress code or expectation. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Will I have to say or do anything?
No — there’s no pressure at all. You’re welcome to observe, participate, or just sit quietly.
Do I need to bring any money?
No. All our gatherings include the opportunity to make a cash offering towards the work of the church. This is for those who are part of the church family and there is no expectation on visitors to give money.
Can I bring a pet?
We love animals, but for the sake of others, we kindly ask that you don’t bring pets to our gatherings. Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.
What time should I arrive?
We suggest you aim to arrive about 5 minutes before the gathering starts. Don’t worry if you’re running late, you’re still welcome!
Where do I go when I get into the building?
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our volunteers.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. All areas are wheelchair-accessible and we have accessible toilets, and a hearing loop. If you have specific needs, feel free to get in touch beforehand.
Our accessible entrance is at the side of the building, accessed from the car park on Elgin Street North.
